A fixture in downtown Providence for 20 years, Trinity Brewhouse serves elevated pub fare in a fun, lively atmosphere. The upstairs, with a patio overlooking bustling Fountain and Empire Streets, is the restaurant; downstairs is another bar and event space that offers weekly entertainment, like pub trivia on Tuesdays and free pool on Sundays.

Chef Tony Goncalves has put together a selection of creative, delicious menu options. Start your meal off with Double Loaded Ravioli, filled with potato, cheddar and chives, deep fried, and then baked with two cheeses and topped with sour cream, bacon and scallions; or their signature Trinity Nachos that you can customize with chicken, pulled pork or chili.

If you’re in the mood to share, create your own pizza, or opt for the Carnivore Pizza Special, topped with sausage, buffalo chicken, pepperoni and bacon. If not, order a Brewer’s Burger – an Angus burger topped with bacon, Vermont cheddar and Texas BBQ sauce on a brioche bun – or a Turkey Pastrami sandwich, served hot on marble rye with two cheeses, stout caramelized onions and Russian dressing. The Beer Battered Fried Fish Sandwich is cod fillets in a crispy beer batter with house tartar sauce on a brioche bun.

For heartier appetites, try the Stout and Teriyaki Steak Tips, marinated in garlic teriyaki and house stout, served with bell peppers, oven roasted tomatoes and rice. Trinity’s Vegetarian Gumbo has spinach, black eyed peas, peppers and tomatoes slow simmered in a vegetable ale broth, tossed with smoked paprika tofu and served over wild rice. The Brewhouse Flat Iron is a house cut flat iron steak, topped with house stout, caramelized onion and gorgonzola butter, served with steak fries and asparagus. The restaurant offers weekly dining specials, so you’ll always find something new to try, no matter how many times you go back.

About the Beer
Trinity Brewhouse has been leading the beer renaissance in Rhode Island, winning its first gold medal for the iconic Trinity RI IPA in 1997 at the Great Northeast International Beer Festival and raking in the accolades every year since. All of their beers are brewed in house under the direction of Brewmaster Tommy Tainsh. You can see the magic happening behind the bar, as you first walk in to the restaurant. The selection is always changing with the season, but you might find:

Kolsch • Tommy’s Red Ale • RI IPA • The Milkman
Big Bertha • Double Barrel IPA • Double Black Diamond

But, you don’t have to be at the restaurant to sip Trinity beer. Their IPA is widely available at liquor stores across Rhode Island, and the restaurant has 32oz. and 64oz. growlers available for purchase for you to enjoy at home. Trinity also has a Mug Club membership, where for an annual fee you receive a year’s worth of discounts on beer, food and fun.
