The Susan and William Huston House, situated on Benefit Street’s mile of history, may have been built in 1860 but it’s thoroughly modern. A complete restoration in 2008 by Modern Industries gave the house state of the art touches. Now, the five-bedroom Huston House has an elevator, radiant heat, integrated media systems and custom built-ins throughout. However, historystill prevails. The home boasts carved walnut front doors, newel posts, marble fireplaces, white oak inlaid parquet floors and wormy chestnut paneling.
