Leading Ladies 2018: Kristin Urbach

Posted

The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce supports and promotes 400+ businesses throughout South County. As Executive Director, it’s Kristin Urbach’s job to connect all of those businesses. “Our members represent every industry, large and small, old and new, from home-based businesses just starting out to large businesses,” she says. The Chamber provides dozens of targeted networking opportunities, unique large scale promotional events such as the Taste of the NK Chamber (happening this year on May 9), and professional development seminars with highly engaged groups of professionals. “I truly enjoy learning more about people’s career goals and connecting them to potential opportunities that leads to growth in their jobs and in the RI economy,” she says. This year’s Annual Meeting and Business Excellence Awards Dinner is happening on March 22.

“Our relationship with the North Kingstown community is important to us here at Quonset and Kristin has been a great ally in our efforts to keep that relationship healthy and strong,” says Steven J. King, Managing Director of Quonset Development Corporation. “Her work with the Chamber is important to our team but also to the more than 200 businesses that call Quonset home. Just a few months ago Kristin was on site at Quonset hosting a ribbon cutting at a business in our new Gateway office building. We thank Kristin for her hard work in improving the North Kingstown business community.”
