The book club at Wingate Residences on the East Side will discuss “Hillbilly Elegy” by J.D. Vance on Monday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. The memoir details J.D. Vance’s experiences growing up in a poor town in the Rust Belt.
The Wingate book club launched nine years ago and remains one of the community’s most popular programs. Since its inception, the club has read more than 100 books. The book club typically meets the fourth Monday of each month, excluding holidays, and is free and open to the public. Space is limited. For more information or to RSVP, call 401-275-0682.
