The Gamm Theater will perform a refreshing interpretation of the aftermath of Henrik Ibsen’s famous play, “A Doll’s House,” on Friday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m. While the original storyline follows female protagonist Nora Helmer as she realizes the limitations on her life as a married woman, “A Doll’s House: Part 2” invites the audience into Nora’s life 15 years after infamously leaving her husband and marriage behind. Now, in her career as a feminist writer, she is being blackmailed by a judge and turns to her estranged husband for help. As thought-provoking as the original, the play stirs questions about marriage, gender inequality and the very meaning of liberation. Meet in the main lobby Wingate Residences at Blackstone Boulevard to carpool to the event. All are welcome to attend lunch after the play. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. For more information or to RSVP, call (401) 273-6565. Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard is located at 353 Blackstone Blvd.
