Forward Ryan Gomes was drafted in the second round of the 2005 draft (50th pick overall) by the Boston Celtics and played for them from 2005-2007. He is currently with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Guard Marshon Brooks was the 25th pick in the first round of the 2011 draft by the Boston Celtics. He was immediately traded to the New Jersey Nets and continues to play for them.
Forward Austin Croshere was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 1997 draft (12th pick overall) and he played from them until 2006. He retired in 2009 and is currently an on-air analyst for Fox Sports Indiana.
Guard Jimmy Walker was the first pick overall in the 1967 draft by the Detroit Pistons; he remained a Piston until 1972 and continued in the NBA until 1976.

The Providence Downcity Bocce League, which meets at Grant’s Block Downtown, begins in May. The slate of teams will not, as of press time, include either Balls Deep (C) or Sushi and Hi-bocce (E) – unless someone’s got the balls to do it. (cue rim shot)
