With summer in full swing, this weekend has plenty of ways to celebrate. Newport honors Pride Month with a parade and a festival. Or head over to Bristol for a road race to keep your blood pumping. Check out our Must-Do’s and have a great weekend!

The sunlit Cliff Lawn will transform itself into a Mediterranean oasis with Nocca at the Chanler. The beloved boutique will host a pop-up event to offer unique accessories, summer linens, and more from their glamorous collection. 6/27-6/28, Newport

SATURDAY, June 28

Newport Pride takes place all over town with a colorful parade and a family-friendly festival. Whether you’re watching as the parade moves through downtown or supporting local vendors at the Great Friends Meeting House, get ready for an unforgettable celebration. 11am-5pm, Newport

Grab your running shoes for the Bristol Independence Road Race. The half marathon will take runners through downtown Bristol amidst 4th of July decorations. This year, a two-person relay has been added for another scenic race option! 6:30am, Bristol

The first Adams Farm Summer Market takes place in their Big Red Barn. The afternoon includes farmyard admission, a beer garden, and the grand opening of life-sized foosball. With food trucks and farm activities, you won’t want to miss this! 10am-3pm, Cumberland

Romance is in the air with Hearthside House’s Summer of Love evening. Shimmy the night away in an outdoor tent to celebrate the iconic hits of the 1960s with this journey back in time. The night will channel the energy of an unforgettable era. 6-9pm, Lincoln

Welcome the season with Sommerfest 2025. Imagined as a summer version of Oktoberfest, this German festival will feature traditional music, beer, and food to bring a touch of Germany to Rhode Island. 12-11pm, Pawtucket

The Collaborative presents Plein Air Drawing - The Beauty of Trees, a free learn and build worksop with Faye Silvia, a teaching artist focused on sustainability and exploration. All ages welcome. 12:30-2pm, Warren  



SUNDAY, June 29

Head to 848 Sidestage at the Historic Park Theatre & Event Center for a morning of merriment when Drag in RI presents the Pride Drag Brunch, an award-winning show, along with a delicious brunch buffet served by The Elliotte. 10:30am Cranston

Mill’s Tavern is serving a Star-Spangled Afternoon Tea featuring premium teas from Harney & Sons alongside summer favorites including key lime cupcakes, blueberry tarts, caprese sandwiches, and mini lobster rolls. 1-4pm, Providence

Paddle up Pawcatuck River and be guided through sun salutations with Float and Flow at the Flora Whitley Preserve. As you float along the river in a kayak, the group will stop along the way for short meditations and enjoy the gentle current. 9-11:30am, Westerly
