Providence Media Wins 11 Awards from the Rhode Island Press Association

In both content and design, the team at PVD Media wins several awards, including 4 first places

At the Rhode Island Press Association awards, held Friday night via Zoom, Providence Media, the umbrella of regional lifestyle magazines Providence Monthly, So Rhode Island, The Bay, and Hey Rhody, received 11 awards – four first-place, one second-place, four third-place and two honorable mentions. 128 awards in all were announced in categories of writing, design, and photography for 2019. The banquet was originally scheduled for April and rescheduled as a virtual ceremony due to the pandemic. The Rhode Island Press Association is a nonprofit organization that promotes the interests of newspapers and other publications, and advances journalism standards and educational opportunities in Rhode Island since 1886.
