Leading Ladies 2018: Jean Hauser

Posted

Jean Hauser is proof that with hard work, you can build your dream career. “Believe in yourself and start small,” she says. In Jean’s case, what she built was interior design services at The Color House, a paint and design retail store. The store has four locations in Rhode Island, including their newest location in Middletown. Initially, she was the only designer. “We now have three full time designers on staff, offering their expertise in window treatments, wallpapers, color, and space planning,” Jean says. “This portion of The Color House business is continuing to grow every year.” The designers offer in-store design consultations, and in-home consultations with clients. TCH does color matching of paints and custom stain blending; sells hard and soft window treatments (including Hunter Douglas), fabrics and rugs; and offers tool rental. They also reupholster furniture. The new location in Middletown will also provide all of these services, with The Color House’s signature quality. “We provide excellent customer service,” Jean says. “We have excellent quality products, and knowledge of what we sell. We’re the best at what we do.”
