IMPORTANT UPDATE: Please note that the live, in-person event on Saturday, September 25 11am -2:00pm will now take place at Knight Memorial Library, 275 Elmwood Avenue, All are welcome!

FeriaProv21 will held virtually September 20-23 and September 27-30, 6:00p.m.- 7.30p.m, with an in-person event on September 25 to be hosted at Providence College,11a.m.- 2.00p.m. The bilingual Fair takes place during National Hispanic Heritage Month and will feature Latino, Latina and Latinx artists, performers and writers from our local communities and beyond.

Participating artists and writers include children's author Emma Otheguy (9/28), multi-Emmy award-winning journalist and author Naibe Reynoso (9/21), artist and cultural strategist Shey Rivera Ríos (9/27), and poet and presenter Sussy Santana (9/21). Contributing organizations include Teatro ECAS (9/25), drama collective Teatro Itinerante del Sol (9/29), and Colombian dance troupe Raíces, led by Nader Molina Figueroa (9/25). FeriaProv21 features readings from local authors (9/22) and screenings from the Providence Children's Film Festival (9/23).On 9/30, there will be a special daytime FeriaProv21 event for youth, featuring 2021 R.I. Children's Latino Book Award winners, Megan and Jorge Lacera, moderated by award-winning author, Anika Aldumay Denise.

Feria del Libro y las Artes de Providence 2021 is presented by Providence Community Library and Providence College, with event partners Rhode Island Center for the Book and Pawtucket Public Library. This event is made possible in part by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as a generous grant from City of Providence Department of Arts, Culture + Tourism.
