FCP Live-In: Live-In Home Care That Helps Many with Medical Conditions Stay in Their Homes with Affordable Live-In Care

Posted

When it comes to caring for loved ones, care and compassion are key. For 24 years, FCP Live-In has built a legacy of affordable one-on-one care with skilled live-in caregivers that keep clients safe, independent, and in their home.

“FCP Live-In is about caring for people,” begins CEO David Anthony. “I founded this company because the options are limited when it comes to caring for a loved one. Right now, you either have a home health aide who comes to the home for a few hours, or a loved one needs to go into an assisted living facility. But what if you take the best of both?” That’s where FCP Live-In comes in.

FCP Live-In is committed to providing a unique and customized in-home care assistance approach to senior care, with a lifestyle that offers enjoyment to clients and peace of mind to their families. All caregivers are nurse’s aides, home health aides, and personal aides with at least two years of professional experience; each also undergoes a full state and federal background checks and is bonded and insured.

Kevin Williams is a Care Coordinator with FCP Live-In and remembers the poignant moment when the adult child of a client pulled him aside, teary-eyed, to say, “Thank you for allowing me to be her daughter again.” Williams says, “Even when there are multiple family members taking shifts to try to care for their loved one, caregiver burnout rears its ugly head more often than not. Those words let me know how needed and appreciated FCP Live-In can be to families.”

This is certainly true for Alison O’Rourke: “Simply stated, I would never have been able to bring my husband home from the hospital if it hadn’t been for FCP Live-In.” At the time, she was struggling to care for her husband, who was in end-stage cancer. “The hospital wanted to send him to a nursing home where he would have been quarantined for two weeks and would have been all alone. FCP Live-In sent a representative to my home on a holiday weekend, and three days later, we had a CNA. Not only did he help with my husband, but he also cooked, cleaned, and washed dishes,” she says. While O’Rourke’s husband passed away just four days later, she is grateful it wasn’t in the nursing home where he would have been alone. “All he wanted to do was come home, and FCP Live-In made that happen.”

This desire to keep loved ones home is at the center of FCP Live-In’s mission: Ensuring seniors remain in the safety and comfort of familiar surroundings with all the treasures they hold near and dear to their hearts, while preserving their independence, reducing risk for injury, and maintaining a sense of privacy and dignity.

“Because we are living longer, the aging population is frailer and has more ailments later in life,” explains Susan Sampson, RN, BSN, and Director of Caregiver Services at FCP Live-In. “However, these clients still want to remain in the safety and comfort of their own homes. [We] understand this, and that’s why we take a proactive approach to caring for all of our clients and work closely with their families to provide the best care each individual client needs.”

Adds Regional Sales Manager, Andrea Maroto, “Now more than any other time in history, I feel every day, every moment is a blessing and our seniors deserve the opportunity to stay comfortable, cared for, and supported where they feel their best: in their own home.”
