April 4-7: Head on over to the Dunkin Donuts Convention Center for the 69th annual Rhode Island Home Show -- an emblem of springtime in the Ocean State, featuring 10,000 square feet of gorgeous florals, a Flower Show competition, and seminars on how to improve your gardens at home. 

April 5-14: The fourth annual Providence Art & Design Film Festival returns to the Ocean State, showcasing films from all over the world and connecting audiences through the art of film. Participating theaters and film venues include Providence's Columbus Theater, Newport's Jane Pickens Theater and the Newport Art Museum, as well as the Jamestown Arts Center. 

April 6: Let your imagination run wild at the DesignxRI "Surreal" Designer’s Ball, a soiree celebrating the power of design with costumes, drinks, food, dance, music, performance, installations, and more -- all taking place at the Waterfire Arts Center in Providence.

April 6: Spice things up with the Magnolia Cajun Dance at Sandywoods Center for the Arts in Tiverton. Learn how to dance, then put those moves to the test with a concert featuring French Cajun music. 

April 6: The Kingston Chamber Music Festival performs its first-ever concert in Providence, featuring artistic director and pianist Natalie Zhu alongside acclaimed cellist Clancy Newman - all taking place at The Music Mansion.

April 6-7: Celebrate all that is female at the East Greenwich Chamber Women’s Expo, taking place at Quidnessett Country Club. Featuring a performance by Providence Ballet, hair and flower demos, health and fashion lectures, food and wine, raffle prizes, and more. Proceeds benefit the American Heart Association. 

April 7: The can't-miss Rhode Island Pride Pageant returns to Providence at The Colosseum, with plenty of high-energy entertainment and a positive, supportive atmosphere. Watch these stunning contestants strut their stuff and see who will be crowned the winners for this year.

April 7: Hamilton House welcomes Lorena Garay & Friends, an award-winning Puerto Rican guitarist, as part of their Multi-Cultural Music Series. Showcasing classic guitar, Latin rhythms, and Spanish melodies.

April 7: Check out one-of-a-kind creations from an impressive array of local artists and artisans during the First Annual Art Walk at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket. If you work up an appetite after all the browsing, get your tastebuds ready for a special brunch at BOOM Restaurant. 

April 7: It’s doesn’t get more Rhode Island than a Coffee Milk Running Festival, featuring a marathon, half-marathon, and 5K. Walk, jog, or sprint your way through the fun, fast, and flat course starting at Quonset Point. 

April 7: Enjoy sipping craft brew while browsing handmade works by local artists as The Field of Artisans, a creative collaborative of emerging artists, sets up their second to last Winter Market at Whalers Brewing Company in Wakefield.
