March 1-31: Over 25 restaurants participate during RI Food Fight’s #BestSandwichRI Showdown. Purchase your foodie passport, sample, and vote for what you think is the state’s best signature sandwich. Last year’s winner: Sandwich Hut – who will reign champion in 2019? 

March 8: Capricorn performs the southern rock and blues of the Allman Brothers Band at Kingston's Courthouse Center for the Arts.  

March 8: Fireside Trivia Night is a chance to test your flock’s knowledge of nature- themed pop culture trivia and easy facts about the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown.

March 8-10: The WaterFire Arts Center houses the New England Outdoor Living & Garden Show, featuring over 70 vendors of outdoor furniture, technology, entertaining, and everything you could need for outdoor living, plus classes and special guests.   

March 8-31: View the Anything Goes Art Show at Wickford Art Association, an open juried exhibit of all fine art mediums apart from photography. 

March 9: Celebrate the local Irish community in true orange-and-green fashion during the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Providence. Featuring music and costume, and don’t forget to finish with some good craic at Patrick’s Pub.  

March 9: Whether you’re Irish or not, don some shamrock green and sign up for the Shamrock Shuffle in North Kingstown, or the full Tour de Patrick, which includes the Irish 5k in Pawtucket and Guinness St. Patrick’s 5k in Providence. 

March 9: Back and better than ever is the Bodacious Bee, “Bee Your Best Self”, a fundraiser benefiting the Bristol Warren Education Foundation and its many enrichment programs. 

March 9: Gear up for an all-day adventure exploring the winter wildlife of Prudence Island with The Audubon Society of RI. Traverse the island in a passenger van making several stops along the way to look for a variety of birds in protected ponds and coves, as well as resident harbor seals.

March 9, 16 & 23: In honor of Women’s History Month, take advantage of a special guided tour on the Ladies of Linden Place, which focuses on the women who made history at the Bristol mansion.
