Aw, Shucks! Where to Find Oysters in South County

Oysters are the pearl of Rhode Island shellfish, and you can still (safely) get them

Posted

Oysters are the Ocean State’s pride and joy, and our appetite for them grows exponentially during the summer months. These days you can even pick them up directly from South County fishermen. Naturally, all of these companies are taking extra precautions to safely deliver their product to oyster fans. Most will provide curbside pickup, and some will even deliver them to your door. If you want to visit in person, you can do so – but please, for Neptune’s sake, wear a mask.

Don’t forget to consult The RI Oyster Trail, an online guide to local oyster-mongers, which includes a handy map.
