Want to flaunt your love for your city with some funky jewelry? You’re in luck – we’re giving away a special handmade Joyo cuff bracelet inspired by Providence’s map. Based in Scituate, MA, designer Jenn Liddiard has been making gemstone jewelry and working as a freelance graphic designer for many years. She started her line of jewelry, Joyo, in the summer of 2012 after discovering laser technology and the potential it brought for turning her designs into jewelry. Getting inspiration from architecture, history, museums and nature, Jenn crafts quality and environmentally friendly laser-cut earrings, bracelets and necklaces. With her extraordinary eye for the ordinary, she takes everyday things that are easy to miss like storm drains, window grates, paths and sidewalk bricks and translates their unique patterns onto her jewelry in a new and intricate way.
Just for us, she’s created an awesome wood and brushed aluminum cuff bracelet that maps the streets of Providence. From far away, it appears to be a trendy abstract pattern, but up close it becomes more familiar to a downtown dweller.
