Secret Sunday Pizza in Jamestown

Posted

Secret pizza, you say? It’s a real thing, and it’s really good. By day, The Village Hearth Bakery Cafe in Jamestown serves fresh baked goods, sweets and sandwiches. On Sunday night, though, they’re only about one thing: pizza. For Pizza Night, Village Hearth keeps it simple with just two offerings: a margherita pie with spicy tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil and a weekly special with any variety of gourmet toppings, including Kalamata Olive and Pesto, Roasted Zucchini, Sweet Italian Cubanelle Pepper and Roasted Yukon Gold Potato and Onion. Pies are first come, first served, and the bakery doesn’t take call-in orders. Instead you order in person, wait 10 minutes or so and then enjoy, either there or at home. It doesn’t sound like a long time, but once you’ve tried this cult favorite, those 10 minutes are going to feel a lot longer. Just know there are delicious things in your future.
