A Casual Meeting Place
A neighborhood favorite is more than just a restaurant. Twin Willows is a gathering place for old friends, and friends you haven’t made yet – and always has a delicious meal waiting for you. Purchased by Phil and Pat Durigan in 1984, Twin Willows specializes in seafood, freshly caught and perfectly prepared, that’s best enjoyed on their patio overlooking Bonnet Shores and Jamestown. Now run by Pat and her son David, the restaurant has been feeding happy customers for 32 years. “A lot of our customers have been coming for all 32 years,” Pat says. “It’s a very friendly atmosphere. We’ve been referred to as the “Cheers” of South County. Some people even have their own bar stools. We have that cameraderie going on here.”

“When we purchased the restaurant, it was a tavern frequented by URI kids,” she says. “We turned it into a restaurant. It’s family friendly, casual. We have a game room for the kids. It’s a comfortable neighborhood restaurant. People know each other.” Twin Willows also offers entertainment on Saturday nights, and on Sunday afternoons after football season.

While Twin Willows serves great seafood – they’re particularly well-known for their fish and chips and lobster salad rolls – they also serve up a full menu of American favorites influenced by New England’s culinary traditions. Stop by during warm weather to enjoy a cocktail like red or peach sangria, or a cucumber martini, at their outdoor bar, or for live entertainment in the off-season, where a room full of new friends is waiting for you.

Bar Bites: Every weekday from 4-6pm, Twin Willows offers a pub menu with $5 plates of wings, nachos, crab cake sliders, Maine shrimp, salsa with chips and more.

Game Time: Twin Willows has 11 televisions that are always showing a variety of sports (there are even four in the men’s room!) and has a video game arcade for kids and kids at heart.
