December 15-17: Festival Ballet Providence brings their annual holiday favorite, The Nutcracker, back to the stage. See visions of sugarplums come to life at the Providence Performing Arts Center. 

December 15: Providence Ballet Theatre performs ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, a dance interpretation of the beloved story, at Rhode Island College.

December 15: If you haven’t been to the enchanting Pump House Music Works in Peace Dale yet you’re in for a treat. This week, see Americana duo Richie and Rosie and fall in love with the fiddle and the banjo. 

December 16: The Providence Singers and the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra come together for a stirring performance of Handel’s Messiah at The Vets in Providence.

December 16: Get your holiday kicks – and punches and brawls – at A Very Roadhouse Christmas at the Bucket Brewery in Pawtucket. Characters from Roadhouse the Musical will spread some holiday cheer with a kitschy 70s-style variety show. 

December 16: Need some last minute gifts? The Columbus Theatre Holiday Fair will be featuring the work of some local artists, as well as screening free holiday flicks in the upstairs theatre. 

December 16: The Galactic Theatre in Warren hosts an unplugged night of RI folk with O.B. Howard, Seatbelt and How’s About Charlie. Cover’s free, and so are the hugs.
