Guests at the launch party will enjoy classic gin cocktails served throughout hundreds of years of entertaining at Highclere, as well as modern cocktails designed by the castle head butler. The event will also include games of English Croquet.
Globally recognized as the iconic face of the award-winning television drama Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle is launching a super-premium London dry gin. The gin is made using botanicals from the castle’s herb gardens, originally planted in the ninth century by the Bishops of Winchester. With a delicate balance of juniper, citrus peel and a touch of lavender, the gin celebrates Highclere‘s historic estate and is quickly garnering international recognition and awards.
