Fall Guide

Saddle Up

Posted

There are so many great ways to view fall foliage – by car, wending through back roads beneath a canopy of orange and red. By foot, hiking or jogging the beaten paths through leafy woods. By bike, flying on asphalt through New England’s postcard-worthy scenery. However, there is another way to appreciate the autumn setting: by horse.

Whether you’re new to everything equestrian or a seasoned rider, horseback riding is a unique way to absorb autumn. You can observe the changing leaves up close and up high, while the soothing gait of your horse and rhythmic crunch of fallen leaves complete the serene, immersive experience. So, sport some boots and plaid, head to one of these five scenic stables in the state, and prepare to saddle up.

Reserve your spot for a ride at C and L Stables in East Greenwich. They offer 18 miles of trails through historic Goddard Park and a bayside beach ride for a variety of fall backdrops. East Greenwich
