Join the RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) for a three-week Entry Level Cook Training Program from Monday, September 9th to Friday, September 27th at the Genesis Center in Providence. This program will review the specific qualities, behaviors and skill sets that are required of successful line cooks in the hospitality industry. Students will spend the first two weeks of the program studying and honing their skills within the classroom; during the third week, they will be given the opportunity to experience hands-on training inside the kitchen.
Participants will be educated on essential knife skills and safety procedures, preparation and cooking methods, and food handler’s certification. The course curriculum revolves around the importance of following instructions and executing them as safely and efficiently as possible.
