Playmaking and Performance is for students interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the art of creation. The performance tools used include character development, improvisation, vocal techniques, audience awareness, blocking concepts, and rehearsal etiquette. This will be accomplished through theater exercises, readings, discussions, visualization techniques, and rehearsals. Students will apply their new-honed skills to texts selected suited for the individual needs of the actor, which will be performed in a final showcase on the last day of class.
