EDM legend Steve Aoki makes a rare stop in Providence with a late-night set

Posted

Fashion designer, Netflix star, hibachi scion and one of the world’s premier DJs, Steve Aoki, is making a rare appearance in Providence on February 11 at Dusk 2 Dawn. After the show, he’s flying directly to Los Angeles to make an appearance the next day at the Grammy Awards, where he’s nominated for Best Music Film for his documentary I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead. If you can’t make it to the performance - it’s a sellout crowd - listen for his new international hit, a collaboration with Louis Tomlinson from One Direction, called Just Hold On. Aoki is also about to connect with a whole new generation of science nerds: he’s starring with Bill Nye (the Science Guy himself) on Bill Nye Saves the World, premiering April 21 on Netflix. The Aoki Foundation - which he runs when he’s not running his label or setting world records for most-traveled musician or most glow sticks in 30 seconds - works to raise funds for research on degenerative brain diseases. But really, those glow sticks tho. Check out more on the show here.
