Can't-Miss New Year's Eve Celebrations Across RI:

December 31: The G Pub in Providence welcomes you to ring in the new year with a little festive flair. Party in the Pub! features giveaways and raffles, including tickets to Bruins and Celtics games and hotel packages, plus a live DJ, photo booth, table games, cash bar, and a la carte dinner by reservation.

December 31: Celebrate the New Year in style with NYE One Providence, taking place at Waterplace Park and Downtown Providence. Enjoy laser light displays in the basin, live music by Aerosmith tribute band “Aeromyth,” and a virtual ball drop followed by fireworks to ring in the new year.

December 31: Get groovy in Tiverton at Sandywoods’ 60’s New Years Eve Party. Don your tie-dye, fringe, and platform shoes, and get ready to rock ‘n roll to welcome 2019. Think “Motown, British Invasion, girl groups, bubble gum, and psychedelic rock!”

December 31: Laugh in the New Year with RI's most award-winning comedy troupe, The Bit Players, as they present their annual New Year's Eve night of comedy at the Firehouse Theater in Newport. Enjoy plenty of NYE favors and festive extras all night long at this BYOB event. The last show of the evening tops off with a video display of the Times Square ball drop.

December 31: Break out your dancing shoes and disco attire and head on over to the Skiff Bar at Newport Marriott for a disco-themed party, where drummer Timmy J will be rocking the dance floor.

December 31: Get a rockin’ start to the New Year at Kingston's Courthouse Center for the Arts' 4th New Year’s Eve Bash with Neal and the Vipers! Jam out to live music, savor tasty eats from local restaurants, as well as raffles, prizes, and more!

December 31: Enjoy a “star-studded” welcome to the New Year with the New Year’s Eve stargazing at Frosty Drew Observatory. On the list will be Uranus, Albireo, the Orion Nebula, and more. Before the star-filled evening, warm up with the Town of Charlestown’s annual New Year’s Eve bonfire taking place in Ninigret park.

Frosty & Fun New Year's Day Plunges in the Ocean State, January 1st:

Easton’s Beach: Take a frosty dip in the ocean with The Newport Polar Bear Plunge at Easton’s Beach in Middletown, for a great cause. All proceeds from the swim go to A Wish Come True, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses in Rhode Island.

Goddard Park State Beach: Head on down to Goddard Memorial State Park and join Laid-back Fitness as they host their 8th annual “Frozen Clam Dip” and “Obstaplunge” into Narragansett Bay; a New Year’s Day plunge featuring an American Ninja Warrior style shoreline obstacle course, with all proceeds to benefit MENTOR Rhode Island, a non-profit organization dedicated to the expansion of quality mentoring services for RI youth. There will also be a “Kids’ Ninja Zone” with open play for spectators ages 5+ on obstacles, including Laid-back Fitness’ mobile warped wall.

Island Park Beach: Make a splash into the icy waters of Sakonnet with the Polar Dive 2019 at Island Park Beach in Portsmouth, with proceeds to benefit the Portsmouth Historical Society. Enjoy a bonfire at 11am, dive in at noon, and warm up with an after party at Tremblay's Island Park Bar & Grill.

North Kingstown Town Beach: Prepare to “be bold and get cold” with the West Bay YMCA Polar Plunge at North Kingstown Town Beach, with all proceeds from the event supporting the West Bay Family YMCA Financial Assistance Campaign. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available. Participants are also encouraged to bring a jar of peanut butter and/or jelly for the North Kingstown Food Pantry.

Roger Wheeler State Beach: Start the New Year off with a frosty splash for a fantastic cause and join thousands of Rhode Islanders in the 43rd annual Penguin Plunge for Special Olympics RI, taking place at Roger Wheeler State Beach in Narragansett.
