BI Arts and Crafts Guild Fair: Browse collections crafted by Block Island makers who turn the Block Island Historical Society lawn into a showroom and marketplace for everything from paintings to sculpture. On select Sundays through September 22.


MONDAYS

Marsh Mucking with The Nature Conservancy: Kids and kids-at-heart can tug on those rain boots and splash around the salt marsh while participating in a scavenger hunt to learn about the wonders of nature. Through September 1.

Classic Car Cruise Night: Watch vintage wheels roll through Atlantic Beach Park, or show off your own. Misquamicut

North Kingstown Town Beach Summer Concert Series: Music fans gather around the pavilion.

Big Screen Movies on the Beach: Screenings at Misquamicut Beach are both free and family-friendly. July 9-August 20.


WEDNESDAYS
Blues on the Block: Hump day is made more bearable thanks to free live blues along the beach. Select Wednesdays from July 10-August 14.

Hermit Crab Races: Cheer for your favorite decapod or bring your own in a painted shell to watersport outfitter Purple Ape. Misquamicut


THURSDAYS
Night Market on Dodge: Shops, inns, and eateries offer special music, refreshments, workshops, and more during an Island-wide celebration of small business. From July 11-August 29.

RiverFire: Special basins along the Saugatucket River are set ablaze, lighting up downtown Wakefield, along with street performers, vendors, and entertainment. 


FRIDAYS
Frosty Drew Nature Center & Observatory: When the sun goes down, head to what Yankee Magazine calls the “Best Stargazing in New England”. See the rings of Saturn, Milky Way and more, weather permitting. Friday nights. Charlestown

Narragansett Gazebo Concert Series: Summer concerts featuring blues, R&B, classic jazz, and classic rock tribute acts. Through September.


SATURDAYS
Field of Artisans Summer Art Markets: This roving marketplace brings together hundreds of local crafters and creators, particularly from South County. Through August 31. Various locations.


ALL SUMMER LONG
Block Island Ferry Wind Farm Tours: Take a one-hour narrated cruise to see the country’s first offshore wind farm. Every Wednesday starting June 26 and every Friday starting July 12.

BIMI Harbor Tours: Take a harbor tour of the Great Salt Pond in Block Island aboard a historic 30-foot Oldport Launch and listen to the local history, ecology, and folklore surrounding the island. Every Tuesday and Thursday from July 2-August 29.

Block Island Farmers Market: Find edible delights like artisan cheeses and fresh produce, plus arts and crafts, as you stroll the morning marketplace. Every Saturday and Wednesday through October 12.

Contemporary Theater Company: A cutting-edge troupe performs genre-bending shows: The Book Club Play (June 28 to July 27); and Wonder of the World (August 9 to 31). Wakefield
