Downtown Gets a Facelift

The Creative Capitol gets two new murals

Posted

Two new murals have popped up in the Creative Capitol, both on Washington Street. One, depicting landmarks in unique artistic form in front of the George C. Arnold Building, was commissioned by Mayor Angel Taveras and painted by AS220 Youth. The other is on a large brick wall adjacent to the Coastway Community Bank lot. “Three Waves for Coastway” is a three-story high painting of ocean waves that was commissioned by Coastway, facilitated by AS220 and painted by local artist Amy Bartlett Wright.
