This exciting workshop is FREE and for ages 11-18 only. Happening at the Essex Public Library on Highland Road in Tiverton, RI, this workshop is for those who crave anime, manga, comics, and graphic novels and want to learn how to illustrate them!

Dates: Wednesdays, July 11, July 18, July 25, and August 1

Time: 4-5pm

Kate Schapira lives in Providence, RI, where she writes, teaches, makes chapbooks, and runs the Publicly Complex Reading Series. She's the author of several chapbooks made by other people, including The Saint's Notebook (Flying Guillotine Press), The Love of Freak Millways and Tango Wax (Cy Gist Press) and Case Fbdy. (Rope-A-Dope Press). She recently started working as a visiting writer in Providence public elementary schools.

James McShane is a cartoonist living in Providence, Rhode Island.His work has appeared in The New York Times, Kramers Ergot, The Believer Magazine, Paper Rodeo, Yale Anthology of Graphic Fiction, Smoke Signal, Taffy Hips, and Orang Magazin. He graduated from Bard College in 2002.
