Behind the Lens, Women in Photography shares the vision of 10 women who use the medium of photography in its myriad forms to express their vision. In the context of Women’s History Month this exhibit serves as a reminder of the very recent recognition of the status of women artists as equal in excellence to their male counterparts.
Curated by two women, Behind the Lens looks at the stories that women artists have been telling as they gaze upon the world. The stories offered in this exhibit speak softly yet powerfully of Mother Nature’s intricacies, of the changing seasons of life, and of death. They tell the tales of light striking form, of the space we occupy as human beings interacting with each other, and our presence in the world around us.
